2023年7月13日，马来西亚标准与工业研究院（SIRIM）宣布，不带 Wi-Fi 接口的 IPv6 蜂窝设备或通过其他介质（如光纤，以太网局域网除外）的 IPv6 设备的临时型式批准期限将延长一年或直至另行通知。所有新申请和续展的有效期最长为一年，申请人必须提交由认可实验室进行的测试报告。
